After a few days of rest [for various reasons--moving camps, weather, wind, reconnaisance missions, etc.], we nailed our biggest challenge yet, and our reward was probably one of the cooler descents any of us could ever hope to ski. The objective? A majestic canyon that rose from the fjord in a 200-foot sheer rock slab, followed by 5000 feet of walled-in powder topping out in the clouds far above.
